HELLO 2012

I think this is going to be a very special year. It is an election year and I think election years are always tough because there is so much fear and negativity pandered to the media to get soundbites on the air by the candidates. We are in a time where civility and honesty are not cornerstones of politicians so it will be a very colorful year where people are not going to feel terribly inspired to expand their financial exposures. So whatever the economy could be in 2012, it will be something less. I am sure about this. But it could be an okay year. I think a lot depends on Europe's financial solutions and America's political will. 

But for all of us, we can't let that stand in our way. We have to make 2012 THE YEAR OF ALL YEARS. 2012 will only come once, so let's be sure we make some meaningful resolutions for this year. Here are mine:

1) I want to be sure to treat others as I wish to be treated.

2) I want to be all I can be as a husband, father, son, brother, friend, business associate, resource for my clients and a citizen of my community and the world.

3) I want to wake up every morning in gratitude for all my blessings, knowing that I have more than I NEED and this is a gift, a kind of miracle and a blessing that I must honor each day.

4) I want to help the less fortunate anonymously as I need no recognition beyond my own.

5) I want to bring a winner's attitude to my work, the energy and enthusiasm necessary to allow my business to be all it can be regardless of the times and the challenges.

I know this may read like I am a little corny but these are my New Year's resolutions. Well I might have a few others, but these are the big ones. 

I am going to work even harder this year to produce blogs that help real estate professionals increase their business and to share with visitors to my blog some lessons life has taught me that readers might find of value. I have learned a lot because others have shared with me. I should pay it forward by sharing some of those lessons with others. Some I will share here.
